functionality

What can I do with my Ajax system?

Ajax can be easily expanded to include access, fire and flood detectors, as well as relays to remotely manage electrical devices. You can purchase individual devices and add them to the system. Detectors can be connected with a few steps in the free mobile app.

Do Ajax devices really work that far away from the hub?

We tested the maximum distance between the hub and detectors in open space, and it really reaches 2000 meters. Your experience may vary as walls, ceilings and other barriers shorten that distance. If you are unsure, you can run a radio test with the Ajax Security Systems app to determine signal strength before installing detectors.

How often should device batteries be replaced?

Ajax devices are powered by batteries, not the network, which is how wired systems work. With that in mind, we developed a special energy-efficient radio protocol that ensures they protect your home or office for as long as possible - up to 7 years.

How do I know if a device's battery is running low?

As soon as the battery reaches a critical level, Ajax will send you a notification. If you are curious, you can always check the battery levels at any time in the device settings.

How do I operate the Ajax security system?

The easiest way to control is to use the free Ajax Security System application for iOS and Android. The app lets you turn the system on/off and monitor your devices (including information on signal status, battery level and temperature). The system can also be operated with Ajax SpaceControl and/or KeyPad.

Will my cat or robot set off an alarm?

Ajax devices use a digital algorithm to detect human movement. As long as your pets are smaller than 50 centimeters (19.5 inches) and 20 kilograms (44 lbs), they should not set off your Ajax detectors.

Can I add and delete system users?

Yes, if you are an administrator with full access to system settings. You can add up to 50 users to the Ajax hub. They could be family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers or even a security company.

Does Ajax support video surveillance?

Third-party cameras can be connected to the Ajax via the app. You can choose almost any camera, provided it supports RTSP video streaming.

meldingen

How does Ajax alert to an emergency

Ajax sends alerts via push notifications, text messages or calls to the system owner. You can choose your notification preferences in the mobile app.

How does Ajax send notifications so quickly?

The hub constantly monitors the notifiers and regularly reports back to the hub. When a detector is activated, it sends that information immediately. The hub then sends an alert to the system owner's smartphone and/or to a central hotline. All this happens in just a few milliseconds.

Sabotage voorkomen

What happens when the Internet goes out?

In offline mode, Ajax works the same way as other professional security systems: detectors monitor the situation and send information to the hub. When danger is imminent, the system's sirens let you know.

If there is a power outage, will I be unprotected?

No. Ajax continues to monitor your home even during blackouts. All detectors run on battery power and a backup battery is installed in the hub. It offers up to 16 hours of reliable operation. Once your home regains power, the hub automatically charges the backup battery.

Can Ajax be hacked?

Ajax has a closed detection system. We eliminated hacker by replacing standard algorithms and solutions with our own invention. We develop our own software and we have created Jeweler radio communication technology with multi-level protection from scratch. The Hub OS Malevich real-time operating system is immune to viruses, and our proprietary IoT protocol eliminates the feasibility of using our devices in botnet networks. To effectively prevent future attacks, we conduct regular penetration tests with external auditors.

Can Ajax get stuck?

Unlike most wireless and wired security systems, Ajax uses two communication channels to send notifications - cellular communication and broadband Internet. When there is a problem with one of the channels, Ajax automatically switches to the other. If an attacker blocks the GSM signal, the system sends an alarm via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

Can the radio signal between the hub and devices be blocked?

Not without being noticed. The hub controls all system detectors. The moment it does not receive a signal from at least one of them, an alarm is sent to inform users of the loss of communication. In addition, the hub reports high noise levels on the radio channel, which may indicate intentional blocking attempts or other powerful interference. For example, a neighbor's faulty radio receiver.

Can Ajax radio signals be intercepted?

No. All device data are encrypted using a floating-key algorithm before transmission. For added protection, each device has a unique identifier that helps prevent forgery.

Do I need a professional installer to set up the system?

If you wish, you can set up the system yourself. The mobile app has interactive instructions with prompts. On the other hand, a professional installer can set everything up optimally to provide maximum protection. The choice is yours.

Vertrouwelijkheid

What information does Ajax collect and why?

Ajax collects only data that helps the system perform its functions and improve its capabilities. The data is fragmented, anonymized and encrypted across multiple servers in Europe. It enters the server through an encrypted channel and cannot be used without the user's permission.

Ecology and Health

I have heard that radio signals can negatively affect a person's health. Is this true?

There are many things that negatively affect a person's health. Among these are a sedentary lifestyle, substance/alcohol abuse or a poor diet. Our equipment is none of those things. And in addition to being people-friendly, our devices are environmentally friendly. We even have the EU certificates to prove it.

Diensten

Who responds to an alarm when I am not home?

In theory, you could give your neighbors access or famlie/friends or acquaintances who live nearby. Possibly you can invite them to the App when you are on vacation, for example.
This way they also receive notifications and can check that everything is in order. That said, we recommend giving that responsibility to security professionals - Ajax works with Private Alarm Centers (PAC) around the world.

What does it cost to use Ajax?

Ajax is free to use if you use it to self-audit.
You can decide if you want to use an emergency room. In that case, you will pay a monthly fee if you connect to a central monitoring point/ monitoring center. The cost depends on where you are located, the size and type of property and the number of services requested.
