Hikvision has launched a new generation of firmware for network video recorders called NVR 4.0. The firmware provides a new design and new features. As a result, you will experience maximum user satisfaction.

It is being launched in the Hikvision I Series NVR devices, replacing the older NVR 3.0 GUI. Older devices will also benefit from the new firmware.

Through this new design, pleasant user experience and improved intelligent applications, the new generation of GUI operators will enable you to do much more and much more intuitively. You will experience a vast improvement in recorder operation, with new features such as:

- Target detection, important targets can be detected and captured. Created snapshots can be linked directly to event playback.

- Smooth Dragging, users can easily click and drag to the live view window.

- Thumbnail view, prominent thumbnails can be associated with video playback and become visible when you move the mouse over the progress bar.

- Background export, during video export the user can still switch between menus.

- Graphical camera management, the camera list can be displayed in quadrant making it easy to view the images of each camera.

The enhanced intelligent applications of the NVR 4.0 include Smart Data Release - which allows users to configure ratios between regular and critical shots so that vital images can be stored longer.

It is also possible with HDD status management (developed in cooperation with Seagate), to monitor the status of the hard drive in real time. This ensures greater safety and reliability.

Keen Yao, VP of Hikvision's International Business Center, comments: "Hikvision is constantly looking for innovations to improve our products. But we are not just looking at front-end cameras - we are developing our complete solutions. After two years of development, we are proud to present the groundbreaking NVR 4.0 GUI to be announced that we feel users will enjoy. "
