A unique feature of this outdoor camera is that it produces bright colour images day and night, bringing events into even clearer focus. This is thanks to the light-sensitive sensor and warm-white LED lighting that automatically switches on when it gets dark. Over- and underexposed shots are automatically corrected and 3D noise reduction prevents noise in low-light shots.

Slim algorithm

This security camera is part of the WizMind series, consisting of cameras that apply smart detection functions and a deep learning algorithm for increased reliability. Using its built-in video analysis functions, the Dahua DH-IPC-HFW5849T1P-ASE-LED can detect and analyse moving objects. For example, the camera responds to motion detection or when someone crosses a set line. The intelligent algorithm ensures that the camera responds only to people and vehicles, minimising the risk of false alarms.

You can use the Dahua DH-IPC-HFW5849T1P-ASE-LED both indoors and outdoors. The sturdy housing (IP67) provides protection against moisture and dust, making the camera weatherproof. Also, the camera supports a wide voltage range so it can be used in outdoor environments where the voltage is not always stable.

Face detection

The camera not only captures images but also features intelligent software to further extend security. For instance, the Dahua DH-IPC-HFW5849T1P-ASE-LED features face detection to analyse faces. Based on this, the software can determine the gender, age and emotion of the detected person, among other things. Note that this is therefore not the same as face recognition, where the camera can recognise and identify the person in the image.

People counting

With the people counting function, the camera keeps track of how many people are in a room or how many enter or leave it. The additional queue management technology counts the number of people in a queue and can, for example, issue a notification when a set limit is exceeded.

Image storage and H.265 compression

The video recordings of the Dahua DH-IPC-HFW5849T1P-ASE-LED can be monitored live via the Dahua web interface, as well as stored locally on a microSD card (up to 256GB), NAS or NVR. To reduce file size, the Dahua DH-IPC-HFW5849T1P-ASE-LED applies H.265 image compression. This codec is much more efficient than H.264 and does not otherwise affect image quality.

Extended PoE (ePoE)

Unique to the Dahua DH-IPC-HFW5849T1P-ASE-LED is its support for Extended PoE, also known as ePoE. This means you can install the camera at greater distances from a switch, while the data transmission and power supply towards the cameras remains stable and reliable. At a distance of up to 800 metres, the camera supports a transmission speed of 10Mbps, at up to 300 metres it is 100Mbps.
